Cancer Travel Insurance

Many people living with or recovering from cancer continue to enjoy holidays and travel, with any adjustments they may need to make along the way,

Finding travel insurance after a cancer diagnosis can sometimes feel challenging. Depending on your individual circumstances, cover options and premiums may vary, and it is not always easy to find a policy that meets your needs.

At Lighthouse Travel Insurance, we understand that every person’s medical history is different. Our medical screening process considers each traveller’s circumstances individually and, where possible, aims to offer travel insurance for people who have been diagnosed with cancer, subject to our underwriting criteria and policy terms, conditions and exclusions.

How easy is it for people with cancer to get travel insurance?

Finding travel insurance after a cancer diagnosis can sometimes feel challenging, but it may still be possible to arrange cover depending on your individual circumstances. Being flexible with your travel dates, destination or trip duration may also help to provide more options.

At Lighthouse Travel Insurance, we use Protectif, our in-house medical screening system, to help us better understand your medical history. Rather than simply asking about your condition, Protectif considers factors such as your treatment, medication and overall health to build a more complete picture of your circumstances.

Once your medical screening is complete, your information is assessed in line with our underwriting criteria to determine whether we are able to offer cover. Any cover offered is subject to our policy terms, conditions and exclusions.
